Here Goes Kitten

HERE GOES KITTEN, Grove Press, 1964.

This is the second of what became a trilogy of novels about J. C. Holland and Kitten.   It takes place 3 years after the events described in ONE HUNDRED DOLLAR MISUNDERSTANDING, and is again done in alternating first-person viewpoints.   JC, now employed by Hook County to do public relations, enlists Kitten, now a more independent and higher-priced hooker, to service Herman Pennypacker, Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners.   The very large Herman dies on top of Kitten and thereafter the "facts" of their stories diverge wildly.   It's up to the reader to deduce which version is the truth.
