J. C. SAVES, Trident/Pocket Books, 1968.
In the third of the JC-Kitten trilogy, JC rescues Kitten during what he calls a race riot and she calls a police raid. This takes place 3 years after their second encounter and JC has had his self-image undermined by learning that there is a dollop of African blood in his ancestry. He brings Kitten to his family beach house where they drop LDD together and revise their assumption about each other. By the end both realize the "racial" problem is his, not hers.
